Experience what the de la Torre Brothers have to say about their sculpture "¡2020¡"

"¡2020¡" is a mixed-media sculpture of a baby holding a remote sitting on a bed. The baby’s body is made from a ceramic doll form that is now covered in golden charms and pencil tattoos. In place of the baby’s original head is a skull made of blown glass with a decorative headdress. The baby holds a small television remote control in his right hand. He sits on a clear cast resin mattress which is filled with roses and buttons. The bed frame is highly ornamental with large blue gemstones atop the bed posts and golden filigree on the sides. The legs of the bed sit in glass ashtrays holding bugs encased in resin.
