Drum Dream Girl tells the exciting story of a girl who dreams of making magical music with drums during a time and place when only boys were allowed to play drums.

This story is inspired by Millo Castro Zaldarriaga, a Chinese-African-Cuban girl who challenged tradition and grew up to become a famous musician.

Drum Dream Girl was written by Margarita Engle and illustrated by Rafael López. This story will be read in English.

This event is recommended for visitors aged 3 to 8.
