Prepare to embark on an odyssey through the profound essence of Latin Jazz. Join the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Latino for an unforgettable evening of Latin Jazz at the National Museum of Natural History’s Baird Auditorium on April 19th at 7:00 pm. Enjoy award-winning, Cuban-born, drummer, producer, and composer, Hugo Cruz and his band Caminos who have played at the Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival, Carnegie Museum of Art, Carnegie Music Hall Oakland and others, followed by the consummate rhythms of seven-time Grammy-nominated percussionist John Santos, and his stellar sextet. This event is free and open to the public. Registration through Eventbrite encouraged.
