Jose had a big heart and lots of love for the game of baseball. I did the stars coming out from his chest so the stars that are on each side of him, they pretty much call us back to where his heart is, just to signify his love for the game.

Returning to Uvalde I had the opportunity to oversee the creation of the final mural for Jose Flores Jr. Where we had the opportunity to collaborate with the family in hopes to provide them comfort on their path to healing. The selected photo of him was chosen to highlight his smile, which friends and family would say lit up a room. The color scheme personifies Jose’s love for baseball which complements his team’s jersey, while the stars tapering to his heart symbolize his love of the game.
