Join the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum, the National Museum of the American Latino and the Smithsonian’s Our Shared Future: Reckoning with Our Racial Past initiative as we bring together women from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds for a powerful national conversation. 

From Her Lens: Perspectives on Race will explore how a woman's experience of race influences various aspects of life, from work and community involvement to family dynamics. Lesli Foster, WUSA9 Weeknight Anchor, will lead the marquee panel discussion. Panelists include: 

  • Larissa Fasthorse – Playwright and choreographer
  • Carla Hall – American chef, author and television personality
  • Madalene Mielke – President & CEO of the Asian American Institute of Congressional Studies
  • Maria Elena Salinas – Broadcast journalist, news anchor and author
